Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ with Alia Bhatt is getting postponed forever. The latest release date announced is on 18 February 2022. The reason it got postponed again is disclosed by a tweet posted by director SS Rajamouli.
“The decision by Mr @JayantilalGada and Mr. #SanjayLeelaBhansali to move the release date is well appreciated. Our heartfelt wishes to #GangubaiKathiawadi..:)”, Rajamouli tweeted.
He thanked director Bhansali, as he postponed the release dates on his request. The reason behind this was his film ‘RRR’ that has a prominent role of Alia Bhatt was going to face a clash with ‘Gangubai’. Both the movies were scheduled to be released on January 7, 2022.
This decision will not affect both the movies and neither of the parties will have to share the business. The film “Gangubai Kathiawadi” was supposed to be released on September 11, 2020, but it was postponed then due to covid lockdown.
